My ex wife did this to me once. Was like ooh Marcus he likes the Huskers and WWE too! Had him come to our place to watch a game while her and his wife went shopping. Shit was awkward af

Back inna day, my crews I ran with had enough in common that bringing someone along from one group with the other was never an issue. Truthfully, all we did in either group was hit titty bars, clubs, arcades, the Belle Isle strip, and hang out on Jefferson or 7 mile, so co-mingling crews always worked out.
 
I recognized who get along and accept that I can't make everyone sync. If I do try to organize something I let everyone know who is attending. No surprises.
 
I would invite certain people from one group of friends to the other. The ones I know can handle social environments and are not asses.

My friend is very social and has many friends I dont know. I usually go when he invites me because it usually be fun and he has some pretty female friends that bring their female friends.
 
I had a album release show and some of my work friends came to show support. Of course my regular people came and one of my homies ended up smashing one of my female co-workers hahhaha. So yeah, I guess you can say it went well.
