Has Hip-Hop Been Boring Since The Kendrick vs Drake Battle?

Niggas like Esso are just front runners of perception rather than the actual music. Over the past year Drake has dropped many songs I fuck with but I don’t need the perception of billboard, Apple & Spotify charts, radio or metrics to like a record. So to Esso if a song is not performing like before, Drake is gone. He’s not gone & he’s still dropping either like the shit or don’t.



He’s essentially admitting he misses the bells & whistles.

We’ve gotten so much great rap music this year. This is a disingenuous argument especially when both Kendrick & Drake have been putting out music THIS year

It was niggas getting hype over Nas albums every 6 months that moved no needles
 
A mere 2 months ago “ppl” were saying clipse brought back the essence and the real is back and all kinda things

Now niggas is like shit been boring…

Wouldn't say its been boring. This has been one of the best years for hip hop releases in a long time. Not a lot of drama happening, at least for the rappers I listen to. Just tons of good music and that music is seeming to get a lot more recognition than past albums had
