I'm not shocked by this. Weinstein was a sleaze but all those women went to him willingly to improve their careers.

Weinstein done everyone always knew who he was and has other cases. But you can have the perfect case laid out, have all the details in order and be a perfect victim and a mf will still get off on a technicality.

Does not change the fact that if it happened it needs to be reported to the authorities. The judge is at fault here and Harvey is not going free. He deserves a retrial due to that judge. There are procedures here that have to be met to insure a fair trial. If no one reports it than others would never go to prison like Darren Sharper and Cosby.

Most assault cases don't even make it to the point of trial tho. So asking a victim to go through the process of reporting, assuming they're even believed in the first place...then hoping the evidence is collected and handled correctly...then having all details of their life up for debate....just for a judge or prosecutor to drop the ball at trial if luck has it they make it there. It's nice to say everyone should report things right away, but I see why ppl dont wana bother having their lives torn apart even further for it to amount to nothing.
