Bro 9 out of 10 topics on here are about racism You know damn well this is prime material to explore it. Even if it weren't ppl can speak their minds on anything they see fit.
Which is exactly why I'm defending ur preference. Groupthink isn't just bigging up lightskins like ur falsely claiming we're doing here, it's bigging up any black woman regardless of shade for the sole reason of her race and not her genuine appeal. That's partly why u got attacked.
But it's in larger part the fact we as black ppl tend to have a sexual preference for our race. Hence why claiming two white women are better looking than a mixed black woman would stoke a black vs white sentiment behind the dislikes. Not colourism. Seems like ur using that as a spin to save face.
This is why u got bombarded with dislikes and u shoulda seen it coming. Again, kudos to ur honesty. U go against the grain here u get shit for it from ABWs resident ideologues. It's just a bunch of throwaway dislikes anyway, no reason to get up in arms about it.
Well, to me "race" has never been a preferential factor to determine one woman's degree of physical appeal.
For example, a lot of my acquaitances thought I was some sort of zealous black nationalist who only dates women of my "race" (even if I do, why do that bothers them? Especially the other women who ask me this?) for matters like saying that fellow Central African women are generally the best looking women, followed up by East African, Horner, North African and Senegambian women. Afterward, people insinuate I am some sort of race fetishist for saying that some Near Eastern, South Asian, Southern European and Northwest European women looks very appealing.
It's illogical. People don't get that my standards are not based upon one generational's ethnic fetishism nor upon pop culture trends, but based upon:
1) Facial symmetry (and how close from the divine mumber one's face are) ;
2) Neoteny ;
3) Physiognomy ;
4) Face shape ;
5) How far your cultural background and refinement transpires through your charisma and mannerisms ;
6) Animal magnetic (or lack thereof) ;
And 6) Sex appeal.
These are qualities that drawn me thoroughly about women as I grew up and matured. So yes, if I see some nonblack woman and she's better looking than some black woman, I'm going to say the truth: and the same would be told for the contrary, because I do not define my Africaness or Blackness through the medium of tribalism or ethnicism: this mindset screwed many African nations, just look at what still happens in countries like Rwanda.
I've scolded white folks for saying that all black men prefers light skinned sisters because dark skinned sisters are ugly: I told them "
have you seen Whoompi when she was young? Or even this model everyome talks about lately, this Lupita Nyong'o? Stop parroting such nonsense" .
Whem said some women are better looking, I mean their proportions, symmetry, charisma, sex appeal, mannerisms, body language, refinement, etcetera.
When I see LadyDi, I see the superstar with a fragile heart, the fairytale English aristocratic lady with some of that spicy
ouh là là typical from European women, especially during the last quarter of 20th century. When I see Princess Margaret during her young days, I see that "Mediterranean" hot blood boiling down beneath the frail veneer of royal candor, a sporty mundane loudmouth, the pride. When I see Whoompi during her youmg days, I see the strength and the fragility, the confidence and the bruises, the smoothness and the crude, the refinement of a self-made woman who never truly realized how beautiful she was.
But when I see Meghan, especially before she got fat... I just see another run-of-the-mill, modelesque token racially ambiguous POC love interest from some American TV show catering into teenagers or young adults, or another black Miss America 1983 wannabe with none of the controversial spice from Vanessa Williams. She's attractive indeed, but you can find three dozens of female celebrities who looks like her, acts like her and does not have
it.
