According to george Lucas the jedi were inspired by samurai and in the originals star wars movies the fighting was similar to samurai swordfighting and fencing it wasnt about all that flipping and fancy shit there just trying to get at each other with precision strikes and kill each other. Old ben kenobi is practically an old samurai master swordsman. The prequel trilogy well mostly the phantom menace was based on wushu martial arts especially Darth maul because the actor ray parks is a master of that style. Still though the prequel trilogy lightsaber duels was just a bunch of baton twirling and exhibition..When anakin fought count dooku in episode II It looked like a chorographed dance there was no emotion behind it it was robotic. The only good fight in that trilogy was mace windu vs palpatine and anakin vs dooku because it was more emotional amlnd intense. The fight between vader and kenobi at the end had too much baton twirling

Lakeview terrace. Samuel l jackson character abel wasnt the true villians in this movie. I saw a youtube video awhile back that explains this although I can't remember the title. It had some good talking points too.
