Since you couldn’t nominate the entire 1994 East Coast catalog of music, you’re pressuring other posters to pick up where u left off at...I already picked my 4 songs. But somebody should nominate:
Crooklyn
Who Shot Ya
Who Shot Ya
dropped in 95
It was on the b-Side of Big Poppa.
And if we're getting technical, the mixtape version with Keith Murray was 94.
Just checked, it says dec 30th 94. U right.
Can we really include "Big Poppa" tho? In essence it is eligible for '94, but it wasn't released as a single until the very end of '94 (Dec 30th, 1994) and didn't have an impact until '95. It was so much of a '95 joint that it was nominated for the '96 Grammy's for music released in '95.
Only songs released on albums in 94 will count. Koncept is right Big Poppa blew up in early 1995 but it was released on Ready To Die in 94 so it’s a 94 Song.
I don’t recall you asking me that but if the song was first released on a movie soundtrack in 87 then it’s a 87 song. You still never answered my question in the 1988 thread.
Goin Back To Cali was on the Less Than Zero Soundtrack which was released in 1987
The single, with Jack The Ripper was released in 1988
The album, Walking With A Panther was released in 1989.
So what year is Goin Back To Cali?
Don’t worry about it @Goldie
We will share the trophy when Pain wins the 1994 tournament because there is absolutely nothing better!
You can post 4 more.
