This was tough.
Hans is one of my favorite villains ever.
There is an underlining with Die Hard and I like to say that it's a buddy cop movie whether you know it or not.
 
This should be tough for me but in reality it's not

Die Hard is my favorite movie of all time.
I saw when it was a youngin and loved it since


The greatest action movie ever made.
An outstanding Christmas/Holiday film
Perfect balance of suspense, thrills and humor.
A GOAT villain in the same class as Darth Vader
Highly influential that Die Hard had so many knock off films in the 90s(Die Hard on a....)
Incredible stunt work that holds up today

How is Die hard winning this?

There was nothing bigger than the event of Batman dropping in that era,nothing.

It single handedly started the early cable release.

Before then movies came on a cable a whole year after dropping,but Batman was on HBO by Christmas of the same yr it came out.

The Joker is a better villain and Batman is a better hero.

I love Die Hard,but come on dog.

This is about which movie was better...not which movie was bigger. I LOVE Batman. Great movie. My favorite comic character. But for me, Die Hard is pretty clearly a better movie.
 
Terrible. On its face, Batman had a better plot, better acting (Jack still is the GOAT Joker) and much better effects.

Hell, the soundtrack was done by Princeā€¦.PRINCE!

It was bigger before it even came out. Meaning that it couldn't have been bigger because it was better because no one had seen it yet.
