Saw somebody retweet this. Apparently GoFundMe is giving out refunds to people who donated to Dr Umar's school

maybe a dumb question are those donations tax deductible? If so is the refunded amount now considered taxable income to the person who may have already wrote it off?
 
This dude is a true conman. They never give up on the con. This is just enough for the people foolish enough to support him to keep it going. But even if he has purchased a building, who with any sense would continue to support this endeavor with all the confusion, uncertainty, and lack of transparency that went into it.

He's walking around an empty building that he may or may not actually own and talks about how awesome a school it is. It seems like a lost episode of The Office from Bizzarro world.

Miraculously he's able to last a whole 5 minutes before telling his suckers that he needs them to continue to donate their monies and "sacrifice financially" but this time send it directly to his shifty p.o. box since the way his Kickstarter is set up...
