OUT NOW Ghostface Killah - Set The Tone

Man I'm disappointed.
For someone who was looking forward to this, I had high hopes.
The rapper features are the best parts of the album.
Whoever that dude Harley is, I skipped every track he's on.
Skits were cool and funny.
The first 6 songs are great. Once you get to Champion Sound, that's when the album goes into a different area.

Facts. I don't like the turn it goes in the second half of the album.

And I know Ghost gonna come with something for the females.
No knock for that.
That second half felt like he was trying to sound like R&B now.

I feel the AZ feature was a bit wasted. That was the perfect opportunity for them to go off on some lyrical shit, not some R&B/club shit.

Haven't listened yet, but it sounds like this will be another Wizard of Poetry. Ghost basically came out of the gate saying that one wasn't really for his core fans.

Wizard of Poetry is the one Ghostface album I skipped. I wasn't the targeted audience for that album.

I was wit this album until around Skit 2. Then the R&B take-over (the "Roses" portion of the album) turned me off. Plan B was a interesting track, and Bad Bitch sounds good, but after that, it just gets repetitive. I had to skip Trap Phone completely. Too much auto-tune for a Ghost album for me.

Nice to hear cats like Ja, Joe, and Remy still on it.

Score: 7/10

Favorite Tracks: Pair of Hammers, Scar Tissue, No Face
