Boats can crash, tip, take water, sink and you can fall or get pushed off. You take that risk you take that risk. Or... or... you can get past the bullshit stigma and take a 1-2hr lesson at a local pool for free. You was in the womb swimming for 9 months.

People still panic with life jackets. It is the fear that overcomes their thinking. A life jacket is supposed to put you on your back but if you are fighting against it, that can be trouble. Also, fearful people put the rescuer at risk as well.

I've always been like a fish to water. Almost like I'm more comfortable in water once I get in.

I did get caught in an undertow in a river before at camp and almost drowned. That shit was serious and if I didn't know how to swim I'd be out of here. Don't be out there like that if you not prepared. Bodies of water can be unforgiving.
 
How yall learn to swim without learning to tread water first? Lmaooooo. Someone did yall dirty on the way.

Anyway....when I need to float or get a rest, I get on my back.

but treading.....I use way to much energy doing the bike or eight. Haven’t mastered it yet.

but in a sprint....efficient as hell.

Yeah true, still you can be injured when shot while wearing a bulletproof vest, but if you know you're in danger of being shot, you gonna wear one.
