ehhh....i dont think they got broke off like that lol

but trying to see it from an up and coming actors perspective, i commend them for being able to overlook all the obvious for the art

its a really good movie

I just realized the other day that the younger version of the lightskin dude is the young man that had the standout role on When They See Us

huge future for him

It's not a movie I intend to see again.... I watched it after all the praise and adulation and awards and it was just meh....

i didnt have anything to do with the awards or the hype

it was just dope to me the way they broke the story up in 3 parts (in 3 important stages of life)...like Kendrick on Fear

and it touched on some shit that aint really openly discussed or displayed

i cant say there's another movie like it...but nah it wasnt no thriller or something im playing over and over
 
Never saw tha end of Moonlight...didn’t know anything about tha movie and started watching it because of tha buzz...shit got gay outta tha blue and I cut that shit off...never went back and finished it




And to answer tha thread question...

Never watched it, but I said something similar on the old site when it first came out.


If it wasn't for the gay angle nobody would care about it either way.


It'd just be a mediocre movie at best.


Straight to B.E.T. status at worst.

Well, sadly enough...........it did win the Oscar for Best Picture.


So, I guess the critics knew what they were talking about......at least in terms of awards.
