Ahhh this is not the same thing tho. And that Dude Love shit was filler nonsense. Now that you mention it I can’t believe that was Austin’s first feud as champ. But yeh Foley later on that year became Vince’s handpicked guy only for Vince to betray him for The Rock.

Sami been a babyface for about 4 years now and was one of the most over babyfaces within that time frame. And folks just… suddenly started booing him because “reasons”
 
Another reason why Sami and Trick didn’t need the US title is cause these niggas were JUST in the WWE title scene like a month ago. This kinda makes me feel like Trick was slotted into the mid card for the sake of just putting a belt on him
 
WWE is weird.

The people wanna boo Sami. WWE teased a heel turn for weeks just to take it back. They got Yachty out there trying to be a heater for Trick when he don’t need it and no one’s trying to boo Trick.

Got Sami hitting the kick on Yachty and no one really reacts to it cuz no one really knows who to cheer for or boo there.

The dynamics of this are all fucked up.

I mean they been turning him heel since at least after the Rumble. The moping and stuff with Cody was all intentional. I figure he does the heel turn and then his redemption arc can lead to his title win.

If it plays out that way then itll be worth it.

Trick needs the reps that a midcard champ gets. And if it leads us back to TrickMelo Gang then all the better.
