I had a few bucks to burn plus the dude I gave it to at my job really has been a great support/big brother to me so I'm glad someone was able to use it

But I hate going into the store, especially the cologne counters.. Ugh

If you worried about having to talk with a representative and them trying hard to sell, go to Sephora or Ulta. They keep their fragrances out without a rep.

Macy's and other dept stores, yeah it can be too much when you got people trying to sell you something.

I usually make me a list and just say I want to try these.

Even if I find one I like, if the bottle is over $50 I’ll most likely just cop 3-4 more samples of it

I don’t repeat scents enough to buy full bottles

Get a travel size. They are usually under $50. It is usually 10-15ml in size. That's what I started doing with the more expensive frags.
 
I find florsls and citrus frags are the most difficult for me to like. A lot of florals tend to be too feminine for me.

A lot of citrus tends to smell like cleaning products. Also, they attract mad gnats. I remember I was at the park with my home girl. I had a citrus frag on. I was getting swarmed by gnats and she was just chilling

Ulta here has had to start locking shit up cause of theft. You have to get them to get shit for you to sample

I've had more hits than misses on Reddit but just not with like two scents I've bought based on reviews that claimed they were really good
 
Man, im so disappointed with Hacivat. This is my first dud. That's what I get for not testing it out first. Smells great but performance is horrible.

Yea you might have the Temu version 😂 one of the main things it's known for is how strong it is.


I posted a story in here a few years ago about how nuclear that shit is.

I saw mixed reviews for the batches made like after 2023. I saw some say the same as me. Im gonna look at a sample in the store and check their batch code. See how it does on me.

The worst was from a Bortnikoff oud discovery set... Smelt like I sprayed blue cheese and dogsh!t on my arm...

My Encre Noire A'L Extreme atomiser came primed, which didnt really bother me but I hit up Notino to see if I could blag something and they sent me a £5 discount voucher as compensation lol

So I ended up purchasing 'Encre Noire Sport' for just under £15...

Its pretty similar to the OG Encre Noire, just with some citrus notes at the top, it feels lighter and losses that 'gothic' vibe that Encre Noire is often referenced to having and feels 'happier' if that makes sense...

Honestly, I really recommend checking out the Encre Noire line, specifically OG Encre Noire and the Sport flanker, they really are GOAT cheapies...

For fragrances that you can pick up for less than £20 each, they smell as good or better than tons of high end fragrances and they arnt trying to dupe either...

Yall already know I'm not big on clones, but after watching this video I searched around for reviews on this company and almost all of the reviews were good for both smell and performance. I might check out their LV clone collection.
