Differences too happy go lucky. It's a generic love song and really straightforward. U Got It Bad was very specific to a situation we've all been in. Not many songs touch on the points it does.
Nigga is you serious? There aren't that many breakup/I lost my girl songs?
In R&B music.
:df:
You're telling on yourself :uk:
You be too busy watching usher dance and chase Chilli around to realize the song has nothing to do with breaking up. The song is about falling in love.
Nah G. I'm saying the points he's making about being in love haven't been touched on in this way as much.Either way nigga, the point still stays.
Weather the song is about a breakup or falling in love, if you think "not many songs touch the point" you need to put the meth down.
I like the term I used earlier
Transitional testimony.
This dude is telling a story about how love has made him grow.
U got it bad does describe a feeling to a tee, and when I was in my early 20's I felt that song more....I used to have puppy love relationships where I hung up the phone and wanted to call them right back.....
But in my late 30's as a family man.....I can see how my life has changed. I'm so happy. I feel blessed. I feel differences much more..... My life has really changed
This is a great way to put it. Ginuwine is stating things. Usher is describing the feelings and actions of someone in love. It's a deeper song for that reason, and to me, that's what makes love songs great.I like the term I used earlier

On this we can all agree. It definitely does, but whenever I revisit a song and can understand different levels of it years later, that's showing the true power of good music....
Differences is one of those "you'll understand when you get older" type of songs that I really understand more and appreciate more as I'm older...
Kinda like how forever my lady meant soooooooooooooooooo much more when my wife was actually pregnant.... Always loved that song.... But that shit hit me hard when I was living the lyrics like that....
Which is going on with differences and my life right now
Again it's close. Very very close.
But I think what's undeniable here is that step in the fucking name of love doesn't even deserve to be in this discussion
Nah G. I'm saying the points he's making about being in love haven't been touched on in this way as much.
The way he's talking about love hasn't been expressed this way. The way Ginuwine is expressing his love is generic.

What the hell happened here!?!?!?These niggas in chicago are clearly bored
Ok, so that puts Differences even further down the list. Either way, it is what it is.There are literally thousands of love songs about phone calls, missing your lover, not wanting to spend time with friends.
Nigga you tripping.
Maybe not like never before, but definitely better than Differences.Slim just say you like the song better, cuz it's a better explanation than this bullshit about You Got It Bad explaining love like never before.
One of his songs I think Because Of You got eliminated by Charlenewas Ne-Yo even in the competition? He got some joints

Think about Toni Braxton Breathe Again, and later Kellz using that refrain in I Can't Sleep Baby. Think about Lenny Williams Cause I Love You (look up the lyrics), who Kellz also used the oh oh oh's in I Can't Sleep Baby. I Can't Sleep Baby itself because it used these things to describe feelings and actions of someone in love.
