My son played high level soccer growing up. Until they fix the US Youth Development programs and/or attract top talent from other sports the US will continue to get knocked out.

The development program is stupid expensive which shuts out a lot of players and mediocre white kids get promoted cause the family has influence in the program.

Plus they focus on speed and strength over touch. At least when my son was coming up a few years ago.

You can’t tell me we don’t have athletes that could dominate soccer if they actually played the game.
