$5k a month is absurdly more than enough to raise a child, I don't care how much money you have. And it ain't like this chick is some kind of celeb herself where she has a lifestyle to maintain; she's a stripper, or at least she was from what I've read. So for her, $5k a month is far more than enough to raise this child that he wants nothing to do with.

I also think that last part is lost on y'all: He's detached himself from the child, and he's covering all of the kid's needs and wants for the next 18 years with plenty of money to spare for the kid to go to college and be very comfortable while in the dorms until graduation. That child should want for nothing growing up if the mother is taking care of her own business.

Materially yeah he covered things. But that kid is still most likely gonna want something from their father money won't provide.

That money should be more then enough to give that child a great worry free life but, them big iced out chains and dressing your 3 year old in Celine will have that money going quick, or god forbid she tries to be a business owner with it and it fails.. right back to court because it wasn’t enough.

Edwards can request that it be a condition of the one time payment. If she actually wants the money upfront and is down to proceed, then she will sign. She may blow through the money in five years, but if she's being offered a few million right now, I'm betting she thinks it will last her a while. She won't have to worry about him being in the picture at all. She can go find the next dude to scam.
