Du buys a house in virginia....lettuce pray

The Du family is what I aspire to have one day. They need their own family show man. I feel like Mama Du would be the star lead though. My mom is a interesting character.

Well we've been back an forth on moving period for a long time. We both love Baltimore, we grew up here most of our family is here but in all reality as we started to look around the cost of living is just expensive for no reason in MD. The average 4 bedroom in central MD starts at 300,000 and i promise it will need alot of work. While that same 4 bedroom in VA us just over 200,000 and is ready to move in with a little bit of paint. vA isn't the only place we've considered. Texas, Carolina's, PA and Florida have been looked at and discussed. With two young kids we want to atlease have some support system.

IF you're considering S.Carolina...Charleston and Summerville areas would be good to look at. Those areas are growing fast. A LOT of neighborhoods are being built and the price of the houses are cheap. Not the run down houses or houses that need work either.

Columbia is like that too. My homeboy and his wife took me thru a neighborhood near them where they were selling 4br home for like 150k. And these were the neighborhoods that had their own names...looked like they came wit HOA...had you sayin "Damn that's s nice house". What made it even better, it was majority black. Only thing about Columbia...ain't much to do there. So Charleston would be your best bet.

Just offering my 2 cents

Calm down

If people keep moving to Texas, it will be even more prone to flooding than it currently is now

This nigga must not understand how big Texas is and how every city ain’t prone to flooding.
Kandy, you like science right?

Where do you think that water is going to go once the areas near the gulf continue to deteriorate?

As more and more developing industries, subdivisions, etc enter the landscape, it changes the natural floodplain of everywhere. It's not going to happen overnight ofc, but there are going to be areas that have never flooded that will, eventually, be subjected to flooding.

That was my point

I’ll be long gone before all that happens.
