What makes these convos so funny is the fact that Drake is benefitting from an era where it’s really not that amazing set of rappers to go against. It’s not like you gotta fight for supremacy amongst BIG, NaS, Jay, X, Eminem, Rae, Ghost, Mase etc…..so he can play it easy when he rhymes. He makes great pop music. Like that shit is smooth. It’s great to play around the family. He makes it just edgy enough that you won’t forget it’s a rapper doing it. He is the safe guy misogynist that does rap music and sings, but his issue is that his bars aren’t really amazing.
