I think the tunes dope... The early to mid 2000's era Dre was fire, his flow was strong and aggressive... 'Compton' was OK but I rarely go back and listen to it... IMO he tried to appeal too much to the newer generation...

Here's a song that Quincy Jones produced in 1990. It features Ice T, Melle Mel and Big Daddy Kane .

The album, with the same title, is worth a listen. Yeah, I know in 1990 there was hotter, newer, fresher Hip Hop, but this is worth a listen anyway.

I'm posting this as an analogy. Yeah Q may not have been the hottest producer, in fact now that I think about it, when this dropped in 1990 it could be argued that Dr Dre was in the process of snatching Q's crown.
