Do you sleep with the door open or closed?

I prefer door closed.

Whenever I got people in the house or when I had a roomate, I always slept with the door closed.

Now though, living alone, I keep the bedroom door open so I can hear it and wake up if a motherfucker tries to break in.

My thing is what if I don't catch it? Then I'm just wide open. If I do catch it and my bedroom door is locked I got time to get the grip and I'm at an advantage.

I guess that's one way of looking at it

It's just my kids and I and I need to hear all movement thru the house, especially at night. I may close it during the day if I want some privacy but that's it
