I know most of us have seen The Godfather

Do you all believe Vito knew Carlo had a hand in killing Sonny and if so, was Michael in the right to kill his brother-in-law?

I don't think he did. After the meeting of the 5 families while riding back home with Tom he didn't say nothing about Carlo but told Tom about Barzini being the mastermind. Vito might have had a blind spot when it came to his family that Michael didn't have.

Nah, he couldn't do that in front of Connie and his mom. He never wanted to look like a monster to his mom so silently killing Carlo was the move

Thats a good one cause they actually siblings.

Im not saying it would have been right for a regular person to kill their brother, but lets remember Michael was a straight up murderer. Murder was part of the family business. For a person of his morals, killing Fredo was the right move. Cant leave a mfer that was being used in a plot to kill you alive, even if that mfer was your brother.

Fredo was already out of the family, he had no contact with Michael until Michael lured him back in.

He only fucked up once that was his fault. You can't blame him for Vito getting shot, Fredo shouldn't have been in that position as a bodyguard.

Vito 100% knew. In the book at least, Vito and Michael planned every single thing out with the big move killing everyone. The only problem was that Vito died unexpectedly so Michael would have to go about it by himself.
