The funny thing is in that post on IG they were saying the opposite. After reading these responses you can close this thread now.
Why would someone film it if it wasn't for personal gain?Depends on the individual
I won't dismiss a person filming a good deed just like I won't praise a person who doesn't
What's the issue with it being for personal gain? Why would someone film it if it wasn't for personal gain?
Yes it does. What's the issue with it being for personal gain?
It doesn't negate the act for them or the person they helped. Just how you the observer accepts it
If y'all were down and out would you like a mf with a camera coming up to you and giving you money, labeling it "giving money to the broke and homeless"
Or would you rather they came up to you in private and handed you money?

See my first post; depends on the individualYes it does.
I saw a YouTube guy give a homeless man 200 dollars and it got like 8 million views.
He made more on that video than he gave out. And the whole point of him making the video was so he could earn money.
Dude was already rich too so that 200 didn't even hurt him.
They're not doing it out of kindness. It's basically like those dudes who used to pay homeless people to fight so they could get views and earn money.
If you are down and out, why would you be picky on how you received help? Most people don't help and the one person that does, you turn it down because someone filmed it? Doesn't make sense.
He doesnt sound wise just an old nigga.A wise man once told me "even if you do the right thing for the wrong reason(s), you'll still get positive results"
so helpin someone out is righteous, doin it for show is vain but, ultimately someone got helped out
why I really can't knock it, besides I'd rather see vids like that than vids of police brutality & whatnot
Hence why social media is the ... need I finishYou're not doing it out the goodness of your heart to help someone you're just doing it for recognition and praise from others
