Classic or Nah?

I do skip "Party Up" but that's only cuz I've heard it a billion times on the radio.

Right, I think that's the reason I skip it, it was played repeatedly on the radio so it just wore on me. When I listen to the album now, which I do from time to time, I just let it play al the way through.

The Professional
Fame
One More Road
Hear we go Again
More to a song
What theses B's want (at work can't type curse words lol)

Those are the standout tracks to me.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say yes...you can't deny the impact of this album...before it dropped it was shiny suits and 80s r&b remixes....this album brought the grimyness back to Hip Hip and propelled DMX to start in his career that was mind boggling
He was already doing that in 96 with IDAHIH tho

DMX was already an established multiplat superstar when ATTWX dropped. He just adjusted his sound slightly towards a commercial feel...this the reason this album sold more

The start of his slow decline musically. X should have taken more time to put this album together. I think DMX dropping 2 albums in the same year in '98 then drop another one the following year was a lot. Album had a few good joints but wasn't good as the previous 2 albums.

Then again, Jay & Nas dropped albums in '99 and those were both duds.

Classic, the album only had 1 skippable track in "Party Up" and even that is bearable sometimes.

Absolutely a classic.

If any album could be played basically in its entirety, then it should be considered a classic. Especially 18 years later!

I guarantee you we can invite 20 couples over to the spot tomorrow and if I played this album from beginning to end, nobody would complain. Me and the wife actually do that often. We sometimes throw a mix of music on, but we love just throwing on an OG album and letting it cook. We just bumped DOC album for company last week. It was lit.
