It was swerves time to be world champion. Did you want them to wait yet another month? I didn’t, and it happened at a debut PPV. I think swerve winning was always the plan
Swerves time imo was at Resolution... i get it was Grandpa Sting last match but he should have stepped aside & let Swerve have his glory in the main event.

Cody is bigger. His storyline was bigger. WM was bigger. It was trending and talked about for days. Not much was really going on in the world of social media after Swerves win.
No disrespect to Swerve at all, either. He definitely more than deserves it. But I don’t think Kahn was trying to overshadow Cody at all. It was a great PLE. He did his thing.
Not even the release of the CM Punk footage or Ospreay’s shoot on Trips overshadowed WM40.

Sting was all over that PPV but I get it. Would it have been better if they waited for double or nothing next month?
I don’t think I could have waited for yet another PPV to see swerve win the title so I’m happy it was last night
The crowd was going ape shit way more then they were at Revolution so they made the perfect call here.
