Very interested to see how this is received. It's the first DC Studios project where Gunn isn't directing or writing on it and he's simply in the producer/executive role

I hadn't looked until now. They have 2/3 people writing that are are very experienced with the character. Ana has none. Though she's apparently got 2 previous projects from DC stuff

I've seen just a couple of things from the director.

If I didn’t already know Gunn wasn’t directing, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference visually & aesthetically. I hope all these DC movies don’t end up looking like Guardians. Cause this one is leaning heavy on that GOTG look and feel

Aren’t most of his movies like this? I’m beginning to think this is the only style he knows, which isn’t good for a movie universe. I like when the each movie in the universe have a different tone and look.

Murtagh will play Drom Baxton, second in command of The Brigands, which is led by Krem Of The Yellow Hills, the lead villain played by Matthias Schoenaerts. The ruthless space pirates and human traffickers are the main antagonists in the film.

Lobo is about to steal the show.

I just know gunn is going to make him humorous af. I guess hes kind of goofy in the comics too though.

Mamoa was born for this role. Him being aquaman is going to be laughable after this

I always thought Lobo was that sarcastic asshole lol

Dude had jokes

For those who don't follow the random thread, or comic releases...

DC comics just dropped this and a lotta their classic stories on hard back for anyone who wants to read up on the source material for some of the major movies coming up

So as mentioned last week, I picked up the woman of tomorrow hardback. And just finished it last night

I was mistaken, I actually didn't read this before. I've definitely seen screens of it before, and was familiar with the story, but after really sitting and reading it I realized I in fact did not read the entire thing before.

Very very good template to build from. It definitely implies a lotta prior knowledge of Supergirl and Superman that the reader should have... Especially considering how their powers work under different suns. But yeah this shit was good. It's going to be interesting how they work Lobo in. And there's no way they stay 100% faithful to the story. But it should still be very entertaining. I have full faith this will be a banger.
