Yeah im also not a huge fan of anything multiversal. This show or any other show.
It's not so much the existence of a multiverse. I think multiverse is great when we can take established characters and rewrite them a new way and tell a familiar but very different story. Like what would his world look like if batman parents never got killed, how would iron man turn out if he never was rich, what would hal Jordan be like if he had been chosen as a red lantern instead of a green lantern, etc. I love those kind of stories and would be happy reading/watching them in an on going series but mostly if those stories were just contained to their own universes. I hate when the characters from multiple universes cross over and interact with eachother though. It eventually can make things difficult to follow and I feel its just too easy of a cop out for writers. Then nothing is ever definitive and it can take away from the power of major moments in a characters history.
Don't get me wrong though, there have definitely been some great multiversal stories and its been done well in the past. Ultimately, I just dont care for the universes interacting with eachother. It's cool for certain characters though like Kang and Mr. Fantastic.
