Because yeah, when people think Green Lantern, the first thing that pops into their head is obviously “low-budget crime drama.”

If the budget can’t handle aliens, space sectors, giant constructs, and cosmic chaos—you know… the entire reason Green Lantern exists—maybe don’t build a show around one of the most cosmic characters in the DC Universe.

This is like making Star Trek but the Enterprise never leaves the parking lot.

Reminds me of Loki where they took a literal God and had him running around doing nothing and never actually being Loki.

If memory serves, because he was in that place where the tva was, him being a god didn't matter. Just like how they showed the infinity stones just chilling in a drawer like loose change

Him not having powers forces you to actually play to his trickster/deception abilities

I caught that too. He said something about no other human green lantern. Funny enough, Guy Gardner is supposed to appear in this show at some point. Some websites pointed that out as well and therea theories that Hal may already be infected by Parralax in this show and keeping a low profile or something.
 
Would love to see James Gunn’s take on Shazam. He seems made to helm that. Surprise there’s no sign of him being invested in that.

The fact that people fuss about Loki being depowered and not them damn stones being in a junk drawer.
 
I think the reason they are investigating a small ass town is cause whatever is going on there is connected to the overarching villain of this chapter of the DC universe
