CYOL (RD 1): Infamous Allies Records (Mooney) vs Wyoming Sounds (Chicity

I think you really need to rethink that joint joint b

Future.....
80's legends....
80's samples.....

I know the cover is washed, should have flipped a Luther or Rick James cover but the samples and Future ability to write the fuck outta a R&B joint should have gotten it higher scores

You making a mockery of his judging. You don't argue you numbers. Be humble you scored higher than me lol

lol I can't man!

That Future joint was the one I spent the most time researching and trying to get right. You know how many 80's R&B cuts I listened to narrow it down? A LOT!

I'm a be humble tho. I feel like I got a better understanding and I hope the losers get to face off cause I got some more ideas

Nigga my stomach is still hurting from laughing at imagining a future and chaka khan collab.

I only added her cause I knew in my head I was gonna loop her vocals in the sample

Kinda like how WTT gave credit to Otis Redding even tho he didn't lay any new vocals on Otis. That's for all the samples, I wanted to give them credit cause they would be a intricate part of the song but then we started talking about not using anyone we didn't draft so I was fuck changing it

You think I'm a ask NE to get they old washed ass in the studio b? Maybe they in the video but vocals from today? HELL NAH!

Cover

Mooney- 18
Chicity- 10

Some of chicity's covers brought tears to my eyes and not in a good way cause they were so blurry

Tracklists

Mooney- 19
Chicity- 12

Chicity was just putting any ol body on any ol song

Sales

Mooney- 10
Chicity- 14

Other than Puff and Mary nobody else on Mooney label moving units as for chicity Future and Cardi both moving units

Critical Acclaim

Mooney- 14
Chicity- 13

Don't think any of you niggas will be winning anything and your cd's will be weed plates after 1 or 2 listens. I give Mooney the edge because of Roc Marciano, the streets love that nigga

I was almost offended until I remembered Chitown has no idea what the sound of Hip Hop is today and he pretty much stuck in 1997

Covers:
Mooney-19 critique: dope covers for tha most part...that Benny shit tough...I think u missed tha mark wit Teyana and took away her sex appeal but good job overall

Chicity-15 critique: Jorja and Jaden were aite, Meek was really dope, Cardi enh...I see what you were going for but I think you missed tha Mark and Future looks like a purple Pink Panther lol

Track lists:
Mooney-16 critique: Teyana and Benny’s tracklistings are your high points but that Bad Boy album looks like too much may be going on

Chicity-20 critique: This where you stood out...nice attention to detail on each album and I can tell you really thought them out

Sales:
Mooney-12 critique: tha 3 albums I’d listen to (Cool Kids, Roc n Benny) won’t sell at all in tha mainstream but you may get some sales from Bad Boy n Teyana but not much

Chicity-17. critique: Jorja n Jaden will sell minimal but have a lane, Meek will get middle of tha road sales but Future and Cardi will both ride waves to big album sales

Critical Acclaim:
Mooney-16 critique: I think tha best albums will be from your underground artists and will show wit positive reviews from sites like ABW but I think Teyana and B.B. missing tha mark with experimental sounds that don’t mesh

Chicity-15 critique: I think everybody will be received pretty good except Jaden...I think he’ll go too far out there and lose critics and fans alike wit some of his “weirdness”

Longevity :
Mooney-16 critique: again I think your underground artists will have tha longer careers in their respective “lanes” but I think tha BB lineup might be washed and after trying and failing to reach tha masses thru her music Teyana goes to Hollywood and starts full time acting

Chicity- 20. critique: these artists each have tha potential to be around for a long time in either tha mainstream “limelight “ or their own little weird/personal lane ie Jorja and Jaden

Totals:
Mooney-79
Chicity-87

Really good job by both y’all ...Mooney gets tha nod wit tha graphics/covers/vision shit and Chicity makes up ground wit a really strong roster to start off wit securing sales and being more relevant

Chicity for tha “W”...

If they need me

@Goldie yall need another judge or just running with 3 ? I dropped my vote in the Sion/Hustle match up but Wordlife dropped one not long before I did so that pushed it to 4 votes.
