I keep telling you all, this aint a Knock thing, ppl are not stupid.

It's be more people speaking out. Don't let this Karmalo case go left, the black Dems may need to just stay at the crib.

But folks are peeping game, a lot of folks

The Democrats’ Big Decision: Black Representation or More Blue Seats?

As Republicans break up majority-Black House districts, Democrats must decide whether to preserve seats concentrated in urban areas or push them into white suburbs to target G.O.P. seats.

South Carolina Democrats at Representative James Clyburn’s “World Famous Fish Fry” on Friday were feeling triumphant.

Mr. Clyburn, South Carolina’s longest serving Black lawmaker and the state’s lone Democrat in Congress, had survived a failed redistricting attempt by state Republicans determined to act after the Supreme Court weakened protections under the Voting Rights Act for majority-Black districts. So as the sun set on a terrace above the Congaree River, in Columbia, a crowd of Black women line danced to 803Fresh’s “Boots on the Ground,” while hot grease popping in deep fryers sent a thick smell of fish through the late-spring air.

But the next act in the drama over Black representation will be driven in part by Democratic leaders, some of them Black, who face a difficult decision. Do they preserve the majority-Black, overwhelmingly Democratic districts in blue states like New York, Illinois, Maryland and New Jersey? Or do they maximize Democratic representation in the House by diluting urban districts dominated by Black voters and expanding their boundaries into the suburbs. Doing the latter would allow them to target Republican House members in those states.

Those new districts would remain Democratic, though less so, but they may no longer be majority-Black. So Black voters could lose power in two ways — by losing the number of districts they dominate and by losing the number of Black voices in Congress.

It could be an agonizing choice, but with Republicans determined to maximize their own representation, many Black Democrats at the grass roots, state and federal level are firmly in the camp that the party should do what is necessary to expand its power. Black representation is important, but they consider this moment an emergency.

All white for the Karmalo trial in Texas.

It was 5 Black ppl on the Chow case

I think you missed my point, which is, this was not the 1st time this crime has happened. This crime of a teen getting shot in the back just didn't happen in 2026.

Proactive means, knowing that this crime could happen and possibly will happen, we need to have provisions setup so when this crime happens, things are already in place
That's my point. Waiting to see when a crime (that's been happening) to finally do something, introduce laws is not the move for politicians or in this case this city.

That's my point.

When politicians do this or in this case the council board members, they are useless.

Practicing proactive methods is how you cut down things and make progress, not waiting until something happens then moving on it.

You don't wait until your house burns down to get homeowner insurance.
You've seen or heard before in time that house can burn down and it can be your house any day

I didn't miss your point. You brought up the racial makeup of the jury as having 0 Black folks and that wasn't true. Also...nobody is disagreeing that the crime has happened before. What I'm saying is that this wasn't due to a lack of laws in place. It was due to how the case was presented to the jury. And that goes through multiple levels that go beyond just Democrat and Republican. So going with a "what are the Dems gonna do" won't get you too far. Especially when it was a jury with Black people on it that voted not guilty.

Also as far as the Karmelo case...apparently the latest update with the jury selection. This is the supposed reason for no Black jurors. Bullshit and hopefully there's a way for the prosecutor to challenge that

The biggest battle in Karmelo Anthony's murder trial so far isn't over evidence ... it's over whether jurors can put their personal feelings aside.

During jury selection this week in Collin County, Texas, several potential jurors admitted they would struggle to convict Anthony -- or send him to prison -- because of his age, with one person reportedly telling the court, "He looks like a child."

According to WFAA in Dallas, prosecutors questioned prospective jurors about whether Anthony's race, age, or resemblance to their own children could influence how they view the case. Anthony, now 18, is charged with first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of fellow teen Austin Metcalf at a Frisco track meet in April 2025.

One potential juror reportedly said, "I don't think I can make a decision about somebody so young. One mistake, one argument, one conflict, you can't say he's a bad person

The 0 jury was in reference to the Karmelo case in which I was going to tie that in with the Dems, for them not making any fuss about it. Holding any press conference on this but they wanna hold press conferences about their jobs and have black boys make sacrifices for them.

The 0 black jurors that I tied to this case was a mistake but the 0 black jurors to the Karmelo case is not a mistake. It's plenty of black people in Texas, I believe Texas has the most black people in the country.

How the Dem politicians haven't (at least to my knowledge) made any efforts to get rid of All white jurors, these are not my peers. This setup has been going on for the longest.

Getting down the orgins of these courts and making sure that the juror selections are fair and mixed.

These so call "stupid" reasons shouldn't even be a reason if the Dems would do their job and place in by-laws or laws, procedures so that these things won't happen.

This is what i'm speaking of, jumping out in front of shit like this so shit like this can stop. Black Dems need to put together a plan to stop this from happening.

City Council and the Mayor make up these laws, a democratic mayor (Stephen) was in off which at the time may have had some "democratic" council members on that board. I think this city was Democratic heavy, and they don't have laws on the books for shit like this after all these years is what I'm saying.

If these folks make up laws together, these democratic people should be incorporating laws that will protect black people. The council members are bi-partisan but they have backing and they tend to be in favor or a particular party/agenda when elected/selected.

That's my thing.

They approve budgets, money should be allocated to the appropriate people. Saying that it's not a Dem/Rep thing is an excuse. The Dems can do more, especially in this case when the city has had Democratic energy for a while until maybe the last 4 or so years
