People are starting to wake up on that front. The problem is that they see what the right is doing and they will rather deal. Not saying it’s right.

Yea, hell, that's what ABW is still on as of February 25th 2025.

They still feel THEY HAVE to support this particular group of people for life, no matter what. Even if that means memorizing different pronouns and pretending flooding black neighborhoods with illegals is ok

Instead of standing against all the bullshit, they selectively stand against half the bullshit

At a certain point "better than Republicans" as your only reason to be Democrat is cowardly

It’s not going to be an overnight fix. Honestly, I don’t know what could change people leaving the Democratic Party. This is where the lesser of two evils comes into play.

At this point I feel like both parties knowingly play off each other. It's a reason they only want two popular parties and fight to keep 3rd party/independents from gaining traction.

Yes it’s cyclical, the only question is how extreme will the cycle be.

Obama pushed us far into the identity politics realm, where the focus was on the rights of anyone that wasn’t a white male.

Then Trump’s first term was a rebellion against anything based on identity politics, aka anti-white male politics.

Then Biden came in and basically was Obama 2.0, so not extreme to anything we’ve seen before.

Then Trump’s second term is an even more extreme rebellion against anti-white male politics, which is why it’s all about anti-DEI and white bro culture.

Next cycle will not be anti-white male politics in full because Trump has pushed us so far in the other direction. It will be a moderation of the identity politics where democrats will acknowledge they went too far before. They’ll placate to the white male to get back in power.

Which is why I think letting Trump in will actually stall the black agenda.

"Identity politics" is just one aspect out of many so doesn't really encapsulate the political landscape enough.

If anything I think *ahem* both sides use it as a distraction

Regardless I interpret what u said as a tug of war. Takes two to tango type shit, but no real progress is actually being made....purposely. Keep the poors fighting while they make out with the goods. Poors means anyone who doesn't have fuck you money/positions.

Reminds me of something Bill Burr said. It's like we're on a boat, everyone leans too far left, then too far right and back, eventually that shit just flips over. That's where we've been headed.
