given the original trio of films are basically coming of age dramas, before getting into cobra kai i wasn't expecting the comedic, over the top approach. but it works. the creators know all too well how absurd the premise is of two middle aged dudes rekindling an ancient high school karate rivalry. they really go all out with the old school campy 80s fun.

anybody new to this series, watch the movies first! there are throwbacks and easter eggs within the series that just hit different when u know the backstory.

Finished season 3. This is easily one of the most fun shows I've seen. I LIKED Karate Kid as a kid and watched them all but I LOVE this show.
