I didn't know that first week was the end all be all. Some shit start off strong then fizzles. Some shit starts out slow then end up with a surge.

If an artist you like sold 40k and you were one of the ones who bought it, isn't that all that matters?

We gotta stop letting white people determine metrics for what is successful. These dudes are going to tour and perform in venues off this album as well as their old stuff.

If you liked all the songs, dope. If you liked one of them, that's dope. They will get money from both ends of the spectrum

I'm just trying to buy the vinyl with "So be it" on the and y'all keep getting distracted by stuff that really don't matter

Andre and Clipse are two different kinds of hip hop too tbh... Plus two different kinds of personalities (if we count clipse as 1 person for this)...

Some rappers can just rap on forever with something to say be-it about their lives, concepts or whatever... Like didnt Andre say something like 'what am I gonna rap about, my colonoscopies???' Well yeah, why not??? Some artists do or should rap about health etc

Though tbf to Andre, his style is or was pretty wacky and eccentric so it does seem harder to produce that kinda hip hop at an older age as you tend get more chilled and sensible...

And in between he beat the guy who was on top of the game with one of the GOAT diss tracks

I'll admit I didnt think he had all that in him when he went solo

But thats a legendary career

His current resume(album quality) is only beaten out by Nas for active rappers when you factor in his Clipse work.
