Cleveland police officer Solomon Nhiwatiwa, 34, landed several charges after allegedly trying to kidnap a 12-year-old girl waiting for her school bus and filming himself urinating on the girl. Nhiwatiwa was officially charged with attempted kidnapping, pandering obscenity, disseminating material harmful to juveniles, assault, endangering children, child enticement, interfering with custody and public indecency.
A woman called the police to report a man, identified as Nhiwatiwa, acting strange and looking into people's cars. Police then pieced together a connection after the 12-year-old girl's mother called police to report the incident with her daughter.
Nhiwatiwa, who was hired on the force in 2014, has been suspended without pay while the case is being investigated. Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley commented on the case, stating, "He will be held accountable. It’s my office’s mission to ensure he never wears the badge of a police officer again."
