I believe I was one of those

which I said I could see how it wasnt accepted as well outside of us.....doesnt change my personal opinion

I give the benefit because I really did not jam a lot of the more respected east coast artists....it didnt stick with me.....but I give respect

Nas is dope....never owned an album of his

Big was dope....I cant name you 5 songs I'd play of his right now

crazy right? nah we just different people from different places

exactly.....

thats how we look when somebody says Ghetto Dope or Master P is wack

we all got the right lol

Again, i'll state my pov

Ghetto Dope is a personal classic to me for a variety of reasons, however, i can see why its not viewed as a consensus classic album which is why i didnt vote it as such.

When i think about the Vault of classic records, Ghetto D, at least for me, does not hold up against Graduation and 400 Degreez, and thats ok...that doesnt mean its not a good album.

I bet more people outside of the south bumped Luda than P

but look where he's being ranked, from all sides

i know what i'm getting from P as an artist, and im perfectly fine with that

most of the people here who like to take shots at Southern artists like P keep comparing them to Jay, Nas etc...

Like i didnt think the P feature on 4,3,2,1 remix was bad at all, but let some of these dudes tell he, he damn near ruined a classic song. Shrugs

I can say that as a P fan

shit, everything after Da Last Don was trash

but the whole game went space age icy at the time, he just fell victim

i didnt think it was THAT bad, but he's on a track with LL, DMX, Cannibus (in his prime), Method Man and Redman...but i dont wanna open up this wound again

we talked about it in the old hood mane

that shit was a label move

to quote myself there:

mf's said "that nigga sold how many units?....independent?"

"put him on the last verse and dont tell nobody shit"

"can we get tank sounds?"

i said the EXACT thing lol

i mean, it may or may not depending on the person

cuz i dont really rate rappers off sales either...but thats really all labels care about, as they should

he didnt belong on that song tho.....if any southern artist (at the time) could have stood solid on that track, it was Face

i dont disagree, but bump the NL appreciation thread or the Hip Hop Label Mt. Rushmore thread

i dont wanna derail this thread anymore lol
