THEY FROM THE MOTHERFUCKING SOUTH
Funny you say this because on the old site, southerners used to claim that part of the reason the south was winning was because they support their artists. So I made a thread asking the question if the south supports their artists then explain why The Minstrel Show didn’t sell more. They were mad at me, they definitely didn’t like that one. And coincidentally southerners stopped using that argument after that thread.

Kendrick's 'DUCCWORTH'... that production on there sounded like a Minstrel Show leftover

And 9th Wonder's new album Zion II dope AF ... kinda a modern take on Donuts

Absolutely. I remember being 14 and buying this album completely randomly and being blown away. Was the best random cd purchase ive ever made. Immediately looked them up and the rest of Justus League and was hooked on all of them.

Hell yeah this is a classic. And so is the listening btw. I remember the day this album came out, I had to remind the mfs at best buy to put the album on shelves because they didn't know what the hell a little brother was.

VERY close, but I can't give it that label.

They got fucked out of a 1/2 mic in the Source, tho. That was a 4.5 mic album.

first time i heard these dudes was this album, and i was an instant fan...

Oh shit i didnt know he made another one!

The first Zion was dope as fuck as well, im gonna lookout for the sequel.

So dope that 9th and Phonte put their differences aside. When i saw 9th was a producer on Phonte's "Charity Starts at Home" it damn near brought a tear to my eye.

Hope we still get a LB reunion one day.
