I’m boss up Here!
Didn’t see a Classic Cinema thread and thought what’s a film room without the classics. Post some of your favorite older films and talk a bit about them and perhaps their cultural impact. I will start with Akira Kurosawa’s 1957 Japanese rendition of the classic stage play Macbeth titled “ Throne of Blood”
A great film that deals with one realizing their potential even if it means backstabbing others to get to the top. It features Toshiro Mifune a common collaborator with Japanese Director Kurosawa who also worked together in the classic 1950 film, “ Rashomon”. Throne of Blood is a great film and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in Japanese Classic Cinema.
