OUT NOW Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Just started this up. Literally at the very beginning, but I just wanted to post in here and let you all know I'm gang gang.

Looks amazing visually. Super curious as to what the story is about. They're being very cryptic and somewhat sad about things so far.

Combat is interesting.
 
Im absolutely horrible at any game where parrying is an option. So many enemies to a little pump fake before they attack too its so fucking frustrating lmao. Then follow it up with a second attack right after. Sons of bitches.

This game and Soulsborne games. cant parry for shit and it fucks me over. I can dodge just fine.

Blows my mind that I was able to beat the entirety of Sekiro by myself with summoning not an option. That entire game is focused on parrying though, so i guess when its almost your only option and pounded into your brain it was easier for me to understand, but i cant figure this shit out otherwise. especially every time i fight something new and dont know their attacks yet lol.

Yo, this is the most honest comedy I've seen in some time.

I fucked around in the flying waters area and ended up fighting one of those big guys that swallow your teammates nh. Dude swallowed up 2/3 and I went the rest of the fight just dodging and parrying. Was the longest fight of my life but he ended up spitting them out and I killed him. Didn't realize I could flee fights until last night lol.

Also fought the trabadour a couple nights ago. Fuck that guy. I dont know wtf he was doing but id take normal damage, then out of nowhere he basically would one shot my teammates or put them on 1hp with one hit. Was bullshit. I killed him tho
 
I just don't get the hype for this game. its cool but nothing revolutionary. People acting like its the second coming of Chrono Trigger just cause its turn-based? I like PS and metaphor much better as well as Dragon Quest.
 
One of those games that I didn’t think I needed or wanted to play until this thread I said ehh doesn’t look like my type of game man glad I was wrong.. amazing game.
