Cities That Spend The Most On Fast Food

Gotta wonder what they're considering as "fast food". Are they just talking chains we all know are explicitly fast food like Wendy's McDonalds, etc, or are they including small mom and pop restaurants, coney spots, deli's, and shit like that.

To identify the cities that spend the most and least on fast food, WalletHub analyzed the price of hamburgers, pizza and chicken sandwiches across some of the largest 100 cities.

We summed up the individual costs of the components and adjusted the resulting figure to the median monthly income in each city, then used these results to rank-order our sample.

For simplicity, we considered the acquisition of only one unit of each component included in our calculation.

I mean those 3 places dont scream they have good food so I can see why

Detroit has been known as a foodie destination for a minute. You got everything in Tha D you could possibly think of and then some. It's already been ranked as the #1 destination for pizza and has been top 5 for a good while.

Based on good food, Detroit is basically the 4th biggest city in the US. Lol. Only the Big 3 have better options(Ny,La,Chi).
Danger is what kept the food culture a secret.

But hitting 7 mile at 2 am for the coney on the East is worth 2 lives.

Like what do they even farm in Michigan

Um, kinda everything. It'd probably be easier to list what we don't grow/farm here, and a few of the things we do grow, we're the #1 producer in the country of them. Plus we got livestock of all types and wild game out the ass.

I'd rather take my chances at L. Georges on 6 mile and Schafer at 2am over any spot on the east side in broad daylight. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Downtown is perfectly safe tho, and that's where some good ass restaurants are at. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather grab a corned beef sammich at Mr Corned Beef or Lou's on the west side, or cop corned beef eggrolls at Asian Corned Beef at any of their locations over anyplace downtown that makes 'em, but downtown is where the more upscale joints are really at without going to the suburbs.

I was gonna assume mostly cows but I do t know the geography of Michigan but I know the Midwest period is where all the food is from and Cali

This is one of the top states for sheer variety of fruits and vegetables that are grown here. Cali ranks #1, but from what I've seen, Michigan should be #2 just for variety of produce grown here.
