This thread goes along with the same point I was making in the Steve Jobs thread about intelligence.
Children have no choice but to meet the moment of now. Whatever is now is their norm. Things are more advance and known, kids are more advanced and know more than the previous generations before them.
And your norm at that age was the previous generations wilding. But was you walking into what was normal. I mean, there was an album for retail sale called Doggystyle, y’all at that time didn’t think anything of it. But imagine how parents felt.
The fear you feel, is not the fear they feel, you feel fear and have trouble processing it because it was not your norm. The kids are alright; what makes the kids not alright.
Is when older generations bring to their attention that they aren’t alright based on the older generations beliefs.
That leads to feelings of shame or inappropriate to life, that sends kids into these behaviors more, because it’s seen as deviant. And one thing about teenagers is that they are drawn to deviance and rebellion.
To these kids they are just having sex, the thing to do would be to have talks with your kids, not about sex, but about self worth and boundaries.
Meaning they are educated more to operate only in things that make them comfortable and not conform to others comfort levels to appear as “down”.
Cause that’s all that is, now if your teen understands this and still is into rough sex, then your teenager is into rough sex. Remember when people used to shame women for sucking dick?
