R&A chief executive Martin Slumbers said there is "no such thing as a free lunch" in golf and that he believes LIV Golf is "harming the perception of the sport."
Former Masters champion Sergio Garcia said he intends to quit the DP World Tour after joining the Saudi-funded LIV Golf series, adding that he no longer feels loved on his home European circuit.
Tiger's stance seems kinda silly to me. If he was taking a stand against LIV because he believed that golfers shouldn't be allying themselves with a nation rife with human rights abuses (though one could probably say those are abundant in the U.S. too), I couldn't understand that. However, he seems to be arguing that other golfers shouldn't look for opportunity the PGA Tour because they couldn't have become sucdessful without the PGA tour. That might be true, but that doesn't mean the PGA Tour is the best option for all golfers.
