Can A Low Volume Artist Be Ranked The Same As A High Volume Artist?

All I’ma say is Big Pun!!

I rest my case….

:sup:

What about Big Pun?

He had 1 album and a few loosies.

You can't seriously rank him in the top 10 (or even top 50) because he didn't have enough impact or a big enough discography. He was only around for about a year. Notorious BIG by comparison was around for about 3 years but made two full albums and appeared on enough remixes and features to make another album of hits.

I don't think you can seriously rank Pun alongside the GOATS like LL Cool J, Jay Z, DMX, Jadakiss, Snoop, Ice Cube, etc.

This WHOLE post is filled with wild inaccuracies….

1) Pun only having 1 album
2) Pun only bein’ around for 1 yr
3) Biggie only bein’ around for 3 yrs

1. How many official studio albums did Pun have?

2. How long was Pun in the industry from the day his first single was released until the day he died?

3. How long was Biggie around from the day Juicy dropped until the day he died?

1. Pun had 2 platinum solo albums (1 was also Grammy nominated), as well as bein’ tha focal point of Terror Squads group album and a posthumous released Endangered Species album similar to Biggies album that was released after he died…

2. 1st time I heard Pun on any track was ‘95-‘96 on Fat Joe’s Firewater track and The Beatnuts Off the Books tracks…he didn’t die until 2000…that’s 5 years

3. Biggie was on Who’s Da Man soundtrack and Mary J Blige remix AND Supercat songs in like ‘92-‘93…he died in ‘97…that’s another 5 yr span

Point is Pun is a legend and a GOAT regardless of his short time in tha game…
