Idk who or what got u so grumpy lately fam, but don't let that shit fuck up ur energy.

Sometimes I feel like Busta gets treated like a stepchild when ppl talk about that Def Jam/NY resurgence of the late 90s and early 2000s..
I feel Busta problem is the same problem 2 Chainz has and Future had.

From early in his career he was getting a co-sign and features by legitimate acts. Fast forward to him on his own and ppl still can’t help but to see him as that supporting artist when really he a major artist in his own rights.

Some ppl hear Busta and only think of Scenario or his wild videos and flow.

That’s why I greatly appreciate Big Bang. No gimmicks, no wild videos, nothing crazy that could be used against him. Just straight bars and shit everyone from urban America could relate to.

And the nigga got hits!

Is this notion that you have to have listened to an album when it was first released in order to classify it as a classic

Now my comment about this project were tongue in cheek, as I thought it would come off that way as well. I have not heard this album so no, I can not properly assess it and it's place among other classic albums, however, if the definition, or at least the one I'm working with is that classic albums transcend not only the period in which they drop, someone can listen to that album 20 years later for the first time and reach the same conclusion.

Which is why I strongly advocate personal classics not being a bad thing.

Take it was written as an example. I can always appreciate a good joke, especially at my expense, but in my defense, a) I've never said the album was trash, and b) I said I heard the album in bits and pieces but never the album in full which I wrote as a full disclaimer. I listened to it, in it's entirety, and agree that it is a very good album and should be considered a classic because I think it still holds up in comparison to the sound of today.

I'm not gon say it no mo
