That Death Row East never would have happenned
2Pac had zero business acumen. He died broke.
If you listen to his last interviews he was talking about all this stuff that he was gonna do but it never would have happened.
In fact, he was out on bail when he jumped Orlando Anderson. He would have gone back to jail for violating the conditions of his bail so that One Nation wouldn't have happened even if he survived the shooting.

He could have released it because the album was almost done and he released MAtW while in jail.
He recorded Me Against The World before he went to jail. His record label released MATW while he was in jail.
Tupac didn't know how to run a record label.
Youre forgetting the years before Death Row when he was literally a kid/teenager were he was doing fine...
He died pretty much 'broke' because Death Row were robbing him just like they did every artist, hence why they eventually went tits up...
IF Pac managed to leave Death Row he could had easily linked Amaru Records up with authentic people like Clive Davis, L.A Reid or Jimmy Iovine etc and done fine like millions of artists had OR even got game from his people in the Bay who were the ultimate indie hustlers...

Pac couldn't have left Death Row because he was going back to prison for violating the conditions of his bail.
After he got out of prison, which would have been around 1999/2000, plus whatever time he would have gotten for assaulting Orlando Anderson, his career would have been over. The industry would have passed him by. He would be Slick Rick status after Slick Rick served those 8 - 10 years.
Maybe he could have found work as an actor, but his rap career was over.
Let's not romanticize how things would have worked out. Death Row East was an idea that never would have come to fruition.

So you would have had "Death Row" which was run by Suge Knight, and a subsidiary of Suge Knight's company on the East coast.

I watched Clive's doc the other month and he seemed universally loved from Whitney, Aretha Franklin, Dionne Warwick, Santana, Puff, Alicia Keys, Sly Stone, Janis Joplin, Springsteen the list goes on...
Ive not heard any stories on L.A Reid or Jimmy either but Ive not watched or read anything on them...

Dr Dre was business minded enough to have his own label, that's why he left Death Row as soon as he saw the fuckery that Suge and Pac were getting into.
