Video Buckshot Gets Raw About Tupac and Biggie & Reveals The Purpose of 'One Nation'

That Death Row East never would have happenned

2Pac had zero business acumen. He died broke.

If you listen to his last interviews he was talking about all this stuff that he was gonna do but it never would have happened.

In fact, he was out on bail when he jumped Orlando Anderson. He would have gone back to jail for violating the conditions of his bail so that One Nation wouldn't have happened even if he survived the shooting.

He could have released it because the album was almost done and he released MAtW while in jail.

He recorded Me Against The World before he went to jail. His record label released MATW while he was in jail.

Tupac didn't know how to run a record label.

Youre forgetting the years before Death Row when he was literally a kid/teenager were he was doing fine...

He died pretty much 'broke' because Death Row were robbing him just like they did every artist, hence why they eventually went tits up...

IF Pac managed to leave Death Row he could had easily linked Amaru Records up with authentic people like Clive Davis, L.A Reid or Jimmy Iovine etc and done fine like millions of artists had OR even got game from his people in the Bay who were the ultimate indie hustlers...

“Guess it don't matter, all the niggas buried, though/ Wouldn't have never happened if Suge kept it real with Harry-O”

Pac couldn't have left Death Row because he was going back to prison for violating the conditions of his bail.

After he got out of prison, which would have been around 1999/2000, plus whatever time he would have gotten for assaulting Orlando Anderson, his career would have been over. The industry would have passed him by. He would be Slick Rick status after Slick Rick served those 8 - 10 years.

Maybe he could have found work as an actor, but his rap career was over.

Let's not romanticize how things would have worked out. Death Row East was an idea that never would have come to fruition.

Edit.

In fact, by that point the company "Death Row" was being run by Suge Knight because Dr De had already left.

So you would have had "Death Row" which was run by Suge Knight, and a subsidiary of Suge Knight's company on the East coast.

Are you saying that a company run by Suge Knight would have worked after Dr Dre left?

Who did Clive Davis and them rob??? Im not aware of any... They all make money together...

I watched Clive's doc the other month and he seemed universally loved from Whitney, Aretha Franklin, Dionne Warwick, Santana, Puff, Alicia Keys, Sly Stone, Janis Joplin, Springsteen the list goes on...

Ive not heard any stories on L.A Reid or Jimmy either but Ive not watched or read anything on them...

Im saying Pac leaving Suge AND Death Row... Nothing to do with Death Row East...

You dont know how long Pac would had got in prison, say he didnt get out until 1998/1999 he would had still been mad young... Look what Snoop went on to do after cutting free from Death Row...

If he had cut away like Snoop and Dre and so on you dont know what he could had done...

Would had been dope if he linked up with Dre and Ivoine and helped the West's resurgence... Pac was cool with everyone from Eric B, to Cube, Ice T, Bumpy Knucks etc the fallacy he had beef with EVERYONE is false..

He would had carried on acting thats for sure...

But the premise of this thread is; "What if Pac started Death Row East and did the One Nation project?"

I'm saying that never would have happened.

I thought the premise was just the One Nation Project, even if it did come out on Death Row East, its irrelevant as Eric B was going to front that label...

Pac still wanted away...

Are we saying that in 1996, 2Pac was going to

a. Stay on Death Row and start Death Row East with Eric B

b. Leave Death Row and do the One Nation project with Eric B

What exactly is the premise of this thread?

The consensus is he wanted away from Death Row...

Who knows where the project would had ended up, Suge wouldnt of made it easy to leave...

Its pointless speculation with too many variables but most people agree Pac wanted away from Death Row...

You saying he wasnt business minded enough to have his own label is rubbish though...

Tupac and Suge Knight jumped Orlando Anderson in a casino and kicked him when he was down.

@Water Ur Seeds do you seriously think Tupac was "business minded enough to have his own label"?

Suge Knight wasn't even business minded enough to have his own label.

Dr Dre was business minded enough to have his own label, that's why he left Death Row as soon as he saw the fuckery that Suge and Pac were getting into.

So to answer your question; Yes I am saying that Tupac was not business minded enough to have his own label. Label owners don't jump people in casinos and kick them when they are down.

Speculation all of it .. he was in the mix of picking up the pieces and goin on to his next phase this is pointless conjecture Pac never got to be who he was eventually going to be as a man artist or business man...yall annoying as fuck

It's not all speculation.

The fact is that Tupac would have gone back to prison for violating the conditions of his bail.

That's not speculation.

Yes I do think Pac was business minded enough, more than capable... Just because he got had over on Death Row means nothing...

And Suge was also business minded enough too because he actually created a multi BILLION dollar company, he was just stupid enough to run into the ground by ending up running it like a gang but he still created a multi billion dollar company from the ground up, so he was more than capable enough...

This is stupid conversation...
