I don't like the concept of a remix.
Back in the early 80s, a remix was usually just a longer version of the album version. The beat would ride for a little longer towards the end, or there might be some sound effects in between verses. or sound effects throughout the song to make it sound different.
Sometime in the 90s two kinds of remixes came into existence;
1. The remix with a guest rapper(s) spitting verses (Flavor In Your Ear, I Shot Ya, I Wanna Be Down)
2. The remix where the song is the same but the beat is different (Can I Kick It, The Benjamins, One More Chance Hip Hop Remix)
Here's a remix I really liked. Its a song called Straight Out The Jungle, which was on the Jungle Brothers first album. But they extended the song and added some extra cuts and scratches.
