Netflix Black Mirror (Season 7)

Added to Calendar: 04-10-25

The Miley Ep was decent. I grade it a B/B-. It's pretty much a kid's movie with a lot of cussing.

Eps 1 and 2 = D+

just finished.....

Out of the three the miley one was surprisingly the best... but that's not saying much about the season as a whole.

Meh. I was expecting better. Dah well.

Tangent..... I'd like to see Nicole Beharie in more stuff.. lol her and Simone Missick(Misty Knight) from Luke Cage look like they could be sisters

Just when I was proud to see a majority black cast ...

lmao maaaannn I thought the same exact shit. I was like man look at all this black excelle--- wait... I know they not about to... naw they wouldn't!

Me and my wife watching this shit right now ..

Wtf b?

I'm too high for this

This nigga fucked his homeboy

Bruh, this shit gonna justify women who be hating on their niggaz playing video games......

Y'all tripping. Gay shit aside, that was some off the wall shit that's right up Black Mirror's alley.

At first I felt the same way, but once I stopped looking at it for just the homosexuality, that shit had me bugged all the way out.

I just kept wondering, how does the dude/chick get any feeling? And why don't he just fuck other people in the game? And they actually answered that shit.

That nigga said "I even fucked Tundra. I fucked a polar bear. A POLAR BEAR!!"

I was rollin', lol.

And there was a message. Give people full access VR in a game and they just going to turn that shit into a virtual orgy. Just like people do the internet. All the knowledge in the world at our fingertips and porn sites get the most traffic.

Episode 2 was stupid and forgettable. A cautionary tale against social media. I did use it as a lesson for my son though.

Episode 3 had a lot of potential but they busted a sharp left to Disney After Dark. I didn't hate it, but they've done the mind transfer shit to death on here.

That shit was a lifetime special.

Thats a pretty good summary of how I felt about this season @TheNightKing

Episode two was by far the worst tho.. like cmon bruh... you goin thru all this bullshit and wanna vent to the dude who made the app cuz your dumbass looked at your phone while driving? FOH bruh. At that point I was like man somebody just shoot this nigga.

I halfway expected in the end credits that them bum ass snipers shot the brotha instead of the fuckin guy holding him hostage

Ol' boy's wife was fine as fuck though! I had to hit the slow-mo when they went at it in the beginning.

Ain't no damn way I'm fucking a female avatar controlled by my homeboy, and I'm especially not doing it with a wife like that walking around the house begging for it.

That was fucked up though he ok whoring her out so he can bust down an avatar played by his thirsty ass homeboy. That was just stupid.

Maybe I'm wasted... But I have no idea what the fuck is going on in episode 2

Watched Striking Vipers. Solid episode I thought it was funny tbh. Of course niggas gon overreact because of the premise but there’s always selective homophobia when it comes to movies/tv.

Pithy review:

Striking Vipers - everyone has needs
Smithereens - don't be distracted
Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too - on a roll

Longer rambling:

This was an improvement from the previous season, and to me it had the more human and emotional elements like the earlier seasons. It's also further evidence that less is best - remember that Black Mirror is being written by one bloke. Keep it at three episodes a season and the quality is less likely to be stretched.

Shout out to Charlie Brooker for the Nathan Barley reference in the Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too episode.

Nahh, that shit was ass. Even if it was 2 chicks. Shit even if it was hetero, the episode was ass.

Black Mirror has always had messages and opened our minds to possible dangers with technology and the future. What was the lesson here? How did that episode expand your mind and make you look at things differently? What was deep and thought provoking?
