Meanwhile, it is a well-known fact that many young adults have mental breakdowns while away at college. Some kids isolate and don’t know how to reach out, while with some, the pressure of upholding family values and keeping up grades can cause latent mental health issues come to the fore.

I read an article where it was stated that students seeking mental health care at college has become astronomical. Asian students, especially, have a history of shutting themselves off and eventually suiciding. Unfortunately, everyone is still laughing at black men having mental health issues. This and the rape and sexual abuse of boys is not taken very seriously. People dismiss them with the all too familiar “nigga” name calling, and nothing ever gets fixed. When an individual has a complete personality change; goes nowhere, see’s nobody, and completely isolates; he or she is experiencing a mental health crises.
