Thats not new news we've discussed it in other threads and it ain't on shit imo. Just trump trying to stir up chaos. The 15-25% that want to separate haven't fully thought it through. They will come to their senses when they realize trump only wants them to separate cause thats where the best of Canadas natural resources are and it weakens them so at that point he'll just take what he wants not lift them up.
Even if they voted to separate the indigenous were there before them and have legally binding treaties with the crown for the land. A court case would be laughable but lets say they got past that... They can't sustain themselves. Lose all federal resources. Would lose all the trade leverage they had for their resources. Them separating would mean no more healthcare, no more benefits, pensions disappear overnight, they're landlocked so how are they going to get goods? Do they have an army? How will they secure their borders? What would stop Trump from just taking Alberta and it's resources at that point? Shit what would stop us? Why would the US treat them any differently than they did Venezuela? lt will destroy their economy and corporations would have to leave, what currency are they going to use?
They would have to be retarded to sway that way as a unit. Stranger things have happened tho.
