Even if they released the interview with Maxwell, if she implicates all of Trump’s enemies and nobody in Trump’s orbit, it’s just going to look like that’s what she agreed to so she could go to that prison camp in TX.

Or they could try to throw Trump under the bus to get him on the bad side of MAGA and co-opt his base under Vance. Highly unlikely, but I don’t doubt some republicans are looking at this as a way to finally be rid of Trump but still keep his base.
