The bold is the issue though. Epstein's rise to prominence was basically on the back of debauchery, so now that the truth is known, it's hard for people to believe that anyone could be cool with him and not know what he was about.

The same shit happened with Weinstein. His bad acts were so deep, people like Oprah were getting called out because she had a good relationship with him and some people just couldn't believe that she knew him so well but didn't know he was on that bullshit.
