I've been cool on Krit and his last few projects for reasons already mentioned in this thread. I might give this a listen though.

it's jus a site that post albums/mixtapes that I assume is based somewhere in Eastern Europe cuz they post a lot of German, French, Russian, etc artist


& since they're a day ahead over there, they get the US releases a day early
 
Elevated or Everlasting Sub Knocker should have been his first single. Both were better produced and sounded more grand to captured the ambitions of the album concept.
 
Some songs like Precious Metal was too short, I wanted him to get in his bag alittle more but I assumed they were chasing that sweet time spot for the algorithm. 17 songs in 31 mins.

Thats what I want. Like imo the soul been missing from his projects since his double album. Like its not bad music, it just feels like he doing it just as a job.

Only saying this because I heard him snap and be vulnerable on songs. Tbh the song lengths on this even feels formulated, like he sacrificed saying what he wanted to make it a time limit for the algoritm. Felt he was holding back on songs like Precious metal.

Overall im hard on KRIT because he created some of my all time favorite albums and I know what he is capable of but it is what it is

I agree. Where “the vent” or “free my soul”? “Can’t be still” or “down and out”?

I get the album had a theme but nah he got more to show

Mixed messages, price of fame (prob my favorite song from him), bury me in gold, WTF, Multi, Yesterday, Bobbie Miles, Saturday =Celebration, REM, The Alarm, Rise and Shine, Dreamin, Hometown Hero, Bigger picture, serve this royalty, Red Eye, etc.

Like this dude got me through so much shit, so dont mind me if I feel one of my all time artists just been coasting for the last 5-7 years it feels like.

Like bro I dealt with grieving my grandmother to Yesterday song. Dude music used to be dripping with soul and passion.
 
I've accepted that most artists these days are content, numb, or comfortable so tbh its been a min an artist touch my spirit. I think thats why alot of folks was moved from the Clipse album and the whole wave Birds Don't Sing brought.

People want to feel "something " I believe " or maybe its just me and im projecting lol
